Vbeam Perfecta™
Broken capillaries, pesky veins, redness, and scars can make you feel insecure or concerned about your skin’s appearance. With the Candela Vbeam Perfecta™, unwanted vascular lesions, pigmented lesions, and scars can be a thing of your past! At Salonika Medspa, we believe you should always put your best skin forward.
The Vbeam Perfecta is a state of the art vascular pulsed dye laser (PDL) that treats a variety of vascular skin conditions, signs of aging, scars, and much more. This groundbreaking technology is non-invasive, non-ablative, and extremely effective and versatile.
The Vbeam works by precisely aiming pulses of light to target specific cells without harming the healthy surrounding cells. When treating blood vessels in your dermis, these cells absorb light which encourages your body to break them down and eliminate them.
Everyone has unique skin, and our dermatologists and physician assistants at Salonika Medspa are committed to hearing your aesthetic goals and creating a comprehensive treatment plan for you.

what to expect
Before you make your Vbeam Pulsed Dye Laser appointment, be sure to let us know if you’ve ever had a negative reaction to light or laser. Based on your medical history, your practitioner might prescribe medications for before and after treatment to encourage optimal healing.
Before you come in for your Vbeam Pulsed Dye Laser appointment, we advise that you remove all makeup and gently cleanse the area you’re getting treated. Since Vbeam is comfortable for most of our patients, numbing cream is not usually necessary. If you’re extra sensitive to light or prefer numbing cream, we ask that you let us know beforehand and be prepared to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your appointment. We’re looking forward to seeing you!
After your dermatologist or physician assistant has analyzed your skin, you’ll be equipped with super stylish goggles to protect your eyes from the brightness of the laser light. While reclining, your practitioner will calibrate the laser to your specific treatment parameters. With each laser pulse, you’ll feel a light snap on your skin similar to an elastic band. Because of the expertise our of our dermatologists and physician assistants, our patients often tell us that our laser treatments are virtually painless.
After your Vbeam Pulsed Dye Laser treatment, you might be a little itchy, red or swollen in the area treated, but these side effects should subside in a few days or so. Although bruising is common with most PDL treatments, the Vbeam perfecta is fully adjustable and customizable to decrease the severity of bruising. Most of our patients report an improvement in vascular and pigmented lesions in the first few weeks after their treatment. Everyone has unique skin, so results and amount of treatments do vary.
After Pulsed Dye Laser treatment, your skin will temporarily be more sensitive to the sun. Protecting your skin is paramount to achieving your best results. Dr. Ciatti recommends avoiding the sun as much as you can after your appointment and protecting your skin with a broad-spectrum sunscreen. At Salonika Medspa, we offer leading broad-spectrum sunscreen products from Elta MD and Isdin.
frequently asked questions
A laser emits high-energy light that can be used to treat different skin blemishes, conditions, lesions, scars, and unwanted hair. Lasers operate at specific wavelengths of light that target pigment, blood vessels, or fluid in the skin. The heat produced in the tissue by the light helps eliminate various imperfections in the skin, like scars, or unwanted hair.
At Salonika Medspa, we have a comprehensive suite of the most revolutionary laser equipment in the medical industry today. Our dermatologists and physician assistants are highly experienced and dedicated to helping you find the right laser treatment solution for your unique skin.
A Pulsed Dye Laser aims a precise burst of light at selectively targeted areas of your skin. This light is then absorbed by your blood vessels (vascular lesions), melanin (pigmentation), or scar tissue depending on the area you want improvement in. After that intense light is absorbed by the area you are looking to improve, the targeted cells break down and heal. Most of our patients achieve improvement in unwanted pigmentation or scar tissue over multiple, quick treatments.
After your dermatologist or physician assistant has analyzed your skin and determined which laser treatment is right for you, you’ll be equipped with super stylish sunglasses to protect your eyes from the brightness of the laser. Numbing cream is available upon request to make you more comfortable. While reclining, your practitioner will precisely treat the area of concern. With each laser pulse, you’ll feel a light snap on your skin similar to an elastic band.
At Salonika Medspa, we’re dedicated to making sure your treatments are equally comfortable and effective. Depending on the area, laser pulses feel like a snap similar to an elastic band. If you’re extra sensitive, you can request that we apply a numbing cream beforehand to ensure you are as comfortable as possible. Because of the expertise of our dermatologists and physician assistants, our patients frequently tell us that our laser treatments are virtually painless.
The Vbeam Perfecta also features a revolutionary Dynamic Cooling Device™ that protects your epidermis with a burst of cryogen (cold air) before a laser pulse. This breakthrough technology helps make the treatment even more comfortable without affecting your results.
Depending on the area treated, we generally recommend a series of treatments. For example, for vascular lesions we generally recommend a series of 1 to 4 treatments for optimal results. However, no laser treatment is ‘one size fits all’, and some of our patients have reported improvements in their age spots, vascular lesions, and scars after only a single treatment.
A lot of our patients report that they notice beneficial improvements in their vascular and pigmented lesions during the first few weeks after treatment. Everyone has unique skin and lifestyle choices, so amount of treatments, results, and permanence of results may ultimately vary.
At Salonika Medspa, our dermatologists and physician assistants are committed to helping you achieve your unique aesthetic goals.
Before your laser treatment, your dermatologist or physician assistant will thoroughly examine your skin to decide which laser treatment is right for your unique aesthetic needs.
After your Pulsed Dye Laser treatment, you might be a little itchy, red or swollen in the area treated, but these side effects should subside in a few days or so. Depending on the area treated, you might bruise. In rare cases blistering could occur.
At Salonika Medspa, our dermatologists and physician assistants are highly experienced and are committed to ensuring your treatments are as effective and painless as possible.
Everyone has unique skin and lifestyle choices. Permanency of results from PDL treatment can depend on your skin type, the condition treated, and your lifestyle choices. For example, if you have sun spots removed and spend time in the sun without protecting your skin, the sun spots can return.
At Salonika Medspa, our dermatologists and physician assistants are committed to helping you put your best skin forward. We’re looking forward to seeing you soon.
